Proceeds go to benefit Little Green Pig Theatrical Concern & The NeverChapel Hill, NC – January 1, 2009 –  The Never and Little Green Pig Theatrical Concern are excited to announce a theatrical performance of The Never’s 2006 release of “Antarctica, A Storybook Record” followed by new material from the bands’ upcoming record entertwined with mixed media arts. This will take place at Manbites Dog Theater in Durham, NC, on March 6th and 7th, 2009. This is a benefit show for Little Green Pig Theatrical Concern and The Never in order to bring community awareness and support of the arts.

The Little Green Pig Theatrical Concern is the new incarnation of Shakespeare & Originals, a nonprofit theatre company that has been bringing high octane work to Triangle audiences since 1999. Their new model is European but accessible, strange and dreamlike but familiar and immediate.

The Never has been touring for the last 3 years promoting “Antarctica, A Storybook Record,” a concept album and fully illustrated 50-page storybook. They are currently working to finish their new record to be released on Trekky Records in March, 2009. This event will be a culmination of both works.  The Never is dedicated to the betterment of  community through arts and music and has performed at schools/universities, libraries, theaters, and outdoor festivals over the last few years in order to achieve that.

july tour is coming uP!!!!   we’ll be on the road beginning july 10th and going thru august 3rd.

dates include as far south as charleston, sc. then midwest out to minneapolis then to boston and home!!

if you don’t see your town listed please drop me a line and we’ll see what we can do.  if we can stop in your town we will.

joah noah and i are taking our sweet sweet time here in the owl room studio at trekky house. i must apologize for it taking so long to finish… however we can’t stop until we love it!!!

so thanks for the patience!  to hold everyone over til the record’s released…. we do have loads of tour dates coming in july, then an acoustic tour for north carolina and virginia in late august.
break for september then back on the road for october and november!  these sets will include mostly new jams!!!!

the never is staying busy on christmas break/trekky yuletide orchestra shows/demoing for the new record and staying warm. joah and i just got the fireplace working here at the trekky compound and it’s really nifty! so short story here… my sister’s house burned down to the ground two days ago, sarah and her husband lost everything but are safe and sound.i’ve never really had something like that happen in our family… huge bummer… BUT through family and friends and the record label everyone was able to give so much and really help them get back on their feet a little bit… at least. anyways maybe the christmas miracles are happening early this year. please check out the trekky yuletide orchestra show list and maybe we’ll see you at one of them!.jonny
